The West Coast Contact Improvisation JAM 2017 at University of California Berkeley, June 29 to July 4
Thursday through Monday from 10AM to Midnight, Tuesday 10AM to 1PM
This year’s jam features two five-day intensive workshops with Ishmael Houston-Jones and Shel Wagner Rasch, and daily family class with Rossana Alves and Krista DeNio.
Single drop in classes will be taught by an awesome lineup of international and local teachers including Carol Swann, Daniel Bear Davis, Ezra LeBank, Jordan Fuchs, Jordan Stout, Katherine Cook, Mary Pearson, Megan Lowe, Neige Christenson, Nina Wehnert, Nuria Bowart, Rajendra Serber, Rosemary Hannon, and Vitali Kononov.
The West Coast Contact Improvisation JAM is created for dancers, by dancers: there will be ample space for participants to investigate, experiment, discuss, present, and above all JAM! Whether we are long-time teachers or first-time beginners, the JAM is a great opportunity to immerse ourselves dancing, and to gain perspective on the many ways Contact Improvisation is practiced.
All wcciJAM facilities are wheelchair accessible. We will do our best to accommodate additional accessibility requests.
