Housing Info

Please see our Crash Pad Forum for housing. If you don’t find anything there you can try one of the options below.

Try our local contact improvisation related communication email list. You can also post your request on the SFBACI_COMM yahoo group to reach a bigger crowd. If you are not on the list you can sign up here. You can join that list here. This list is just for non-CI related communication by the CI community; if you want to get info about other local jams and classes you can join SFBACI email   list here

Camping: The jam takes place in an urban area and there is no place to camp in Berkeley. But if you are willing to commute by car, there’s a lovely campground in the redwoods at Anthony Chabot Regional Park in the Oakland hills. Chabot campground has bathrooms with hot showers, picnic tables and a lake for swimming. Sites are $22 per night and can sleep up to 8 people. There are also group sites available. Reservations can be made here: http://www.reserveamerica.com/camping/Anthony_Chabot/r/campgroundDetails.do?page=details&contractCode=EB&parkId=110004&topTabIndex=CampingSpot

Some of the other gorgeous camping grounds in the Bay Area are Kirby Cove in Sausalito and China Camp Beach in San Rafael.

Couch Surfing: Couch Surfing is a great resource for finding places to stay and meeting interesting people.

Hotels: The closest ones, a short walking distance from the venue are Holiday Inn on University St.  and Double Tree a little further by the Berkeley Marina.

Air BnB: Air BnB is a good resource for finding bed and breakfasts and other unique housing options.
