Work Exchange

Thank you for your interest in Work Exchange (WEX) at miniWCCI 2024 !

You are welcome to note your interest in WEX in the registration form.
We will reach out should slots become available.

Please note that work exchange spaces are very limited for this year's mini festival. We are looking to add team members with a strong work ethic and commitment to the overall success of the JAM. WEX is also fun, and a great way to meet new people and participate in our community.

We are offering partial WEX which will be divided into daily shifts anywhere between 30 minutes and 2 hours. Applicants willing to fill hard-to-cover shifts will likely have reduced overall hours.

To apply, fill out the WEX portion of the registration google form, indicating the type of shift you would prefer.

We take WEX applications as soon as registration opens, and give preference to those applying early. Please understand that all those submitting work exchange applications need to register and pay the Full Festival amount at the time that your application is submitted. Work exchange will not be granted to those who have not paid. Contact us regarding financial hardship, if making the deposit is not possible for you.

Ways to help with wcciJAM:

Registration: welcome and check in guests as they arrive on site, orient, and register JAM attendees. Be prepared to pitch in the first couple of days of the festival on an AM or PM shift, as well as during the open jam on Thursday evening.
On-Call: help with daily operations throughout the JAM: logistics, assisting teachers, staff, and/or running errands. Whatever comes up, you’ll help with.

Cleaning: make sure studios, social spaces, and bathrooms are clean, stocked, and ready.
Food: set up and clean up after catered meals, set up the snack and drink table, keep it clean and stocked.

Friendliness, flexibility, work ethic, and willingness to show up early, and stay late are desirable qualities for WEXers!

*The WEX team compensation amounts to between $20 and $25 per hour of work – in the form of paychecks, cash, or PayPal refunds delivered following the event.
